If you have a difficulty that does not appear on the list above, it is okay to ask whether we could work together. Sonder psychology specialises in understanding the self, which includes the self in relation to others and patterns you might recognise forming throughout your life.

Your psychologist can help you work out which is the best approach for you and what to work on first. Book a free chat to consider whether therapy is right for you with a clinical psychologist.

Therapy can help you explore and understand more about the ways your past and experiences have shaped you, and to consider the direction you want your life to move in.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy starts with a discussion about the therapeutic process, whether now is the right time for you, and your best hopes for therapy. We can work out your aims together, whether you have a specific goal in mind to change an aspect of your life and how it makes you feel, or if you would prefer to use this work to explore the reasons that you find yourself repeating patterns, in relationships with others or yourself.

There are different therapeutic approaches we can use, and your assessment along with our formulating together can help us collaboratively decide on which therapy or mixture of approaches might be right for you. The therapy is adapted to you, and you will not have to fit with just one way of working. Developing a trusting relationship, and creating a foundation of non-judgemental, caring support from which you can challenge yourself, explore, and grow, will be a very important part of the process.
